The HAPPINESS that Christmas brings |

Coordinator, Tamil Service It is time again to wish one another " Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year". But what exactly is this happiness that we wish for one another? Is happiness the same as "fun-filled" and enjoyable activities? Can we equate happiness or joy with pleasure? Often people confuse happiness or joy with pleasure. but there is a world of difference. People who have tasted real happiness or joy are suspicious of happiness of pleasure because pleasure sometimes can be the death of happiness. |

POPE JOHN PAUL II: A REAL MISSIONARY AND A SAINT |

Coordinator, Tamil Service When the whole world gloomed and the belfries tolled at the demise of the Holy Father Pope John Paul II, millions of people thronged into St. Peter's square in Vatican, on the 8th of April 2005, for the final farewell rites to Pope John Paul II. In unison they all spontaneously chanted over and again with vibrant and unified voice, "Santo, Santo". Some of them were holding large banners which read "Santo Subito", emphasizing the quick canonization of a man who raised more number of holy souls to sainthood during the 26 years of his papacy than the number of saints put together raised to sainthood by all his predecessors. |
